RESCUE SIMULATION TRIALS The fun alternative water exercises
Elements are for dogs of all ages however distances and objects can be varied in accordance with the abilities of dogs of different ages.
The elements are designed to simulate real life rescues so any handlers must use the recognised rescue techniques for drowning persons who will be known throughout the trials as MISPER
Although simulation of real rescues the aim is to enjoy working with and alongside your dog, using your dog’s strength, ability and intelligence, therefore making the trials as natural to the dog as possible i.e. they are there to assist the handler in rescuing boats, objects and people.
A total of 20 points is required to move to the next level.
(These exercises were devised by Pete Lewin who can be contacted for more information) |
